Ms. Richardson grew up in Lexington, S.C., and after graduating from Lexington High School, Ms. Richardson attended Appalachian State University (ASU) in Boone, N.C..  She graduated from ASU with honors, having earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a degree in marketing. 

Ms. Richardson attended the Elon University School of Law in Greensboro, N.C. and graduated in 2009 as part of the inaugural class.  During law school, she was involved in the Women's Law Association, served as a case manager for the Innocence Project, and played on the Elon Law intramural softball and tennis teams.  Ms. Richardson interned for nearly two years at Clifford, Clendenin and O'Hale in Greensboro, N.C., where she worked in the firm's criminal defense department.

After spending eight years in North Carolina, Ms. Richardson returned to South Carolina and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in May 2010.  Ms. Richardson joined the Law Office of Richard J. Breibart, LLC as an associate in June 2010.
